Stephan was born and raised in Germany and went through a professional apprenticeship at a family-owned bakery in Mondorf, Germany. He attended Baking School throughout his three-year education and graduated at the very top of his class in 1995.
When he first came to the United States in 1995, he worked as the Bakery Production Manager at Daube’s Bakery in Rochester, MN.
Since moving to his new home in Zumbrota, it had been a dream of his to build and operate a wood-fired brick oven. That dream materialized in the Fall of 2011.
